Imagine receiving a letter in the mail one day inviting you to visit Buckingham Palace to receive a knighthood by the Queen of England. Well, that’s what happened with Mr. Tommy Chan and is something that he can unashamedly boast about to all who he crosses paths with.

Mr. Chan was knighted in recognition of his valiant services to Queen and country in his youth. In the Honiara Hotel lobby, there’s a board that proudly displays this great achievement.
